The word “Kisiki” comes from the tribal language of the Giriama, native to the coast of Kenya, it means Rainbow. Not only are many of our products made on the coast of Kenya but they epitomize the meaning of our name: Colour means everything to Kisiki.
Africa is a continent full of bright bold colours and contrasts, I want my products and website to reflect the warmth of the African continent and its many colours. Colour has always played a great part in my life, it is usually the first thing I notice and the last thing I remember about a place, an object, or a person. I hope that other colour enthusiasts will find my products of interest.....and keep watching as this is only the beginning!
All of our items are made in Kenya by individuals providing much needed jobs for both men and women within the community. I grew up in Kenya and the welfare, standard of living and education of Kenyan people is very close to my heart. My long term aspiration is to set up a Fair Trade regulated Women's self help group within the community who can do my production. Off the back of that I will be able to provide them with the jobs and income to educate their children for a better future.
The recent political problems in Kenya has had a huge impact on tourism, one of Kenya's main sources for income and employment. Kenya exports a wide range of hand made craft products and now more than ever, we need to maintain demand on these products in the western world and support the innocent through this troubled political time.

Europe (ZONE B) is usually around 3/5 days, for the USA and Australia (ZONES C and D) you should allow at least 1 week.
Shipping and Postage costs are based on destination and are charged according to the weight of your order and the destination. This is the fairest way to do it for people who wish to purchase multiple items. Prices start from £3.50. The website will automatically work out your estimated shipping costs as you add items to the cart. Be sure to choose your destination country and click update. We have 3 pricing bands:
